Hotel Tango Distillery Branding
Located in Fletcher Place, Hotel Tango Distillery is the first disabled veteran owned distillery in America. The five co-founders wanted the brand to have a vintage military feel without being overbearing.
One of their requests was to use a military font. The typical font displayed on several military items felt too common. I used the font Bebas Neue and blocked parts creating a stenciled look. Wheat flanks either side of the type. I also used a unique shape outlined in dots to mimic a dog tag.
The serif used for the product name is Silverfake. It's not the typical slab serif font, it adds another dimension to the overall design that could not be achieved by Rockwell or Serifa.
